What is a fine art print? 

Wildleaf prints are fine art prints that are printed on beautiful 320gsm cotton rag paper. Fine art prints are created with the highest quality archival inks and archival paper, meaning that they will last a lifetime. When looked after properly, they will last for over one hundred years. A fine art print is a piece of art that you can treasure forever and hand down to the next generation. Wildleaf prints are open edition - this means that they are a more affordable option, yet still exceptional quality.

How are they created?

For my Wildleaf series, I hand painted the leaves and foliage in watercolour to create the individual elements. I then photographed them and transferred them to digital elements, before putting them together in organic, rambling patterns. They are inspired by leaves and branches I picked from my garden, as well as the bush. I design my work in my studio on the edge of the lovely Yarra Valley, and my prints are printed with great care by my fine art printers on the Mornington Peninsula with the highest quality materials.

How should I frame them?

Wildleaf prints come unframed, but as they are an A-size series they are super easy to find frames for! As they are standard sizes (A4, A3, A2, A1 & A0) you can find frames that fit my Wildleaf prints at places such as Spotlight, K-mart, Temple and Webster, Country Road, Officeworks and other such stores. Pre-bought frames are an affordable and easy way to frame! Just remember if you are handling the prints yourself, be very careful and only handle the print on the edges as cotton rag paper is very sensitive to marking.

Of course, you can also take your Wildleaf prints to your local framer for custom framing too. Custom framing is the most beautiful quality, but pre-bought frames are also a good option for something more affordable. Natural ash or oak frames, as well as white frames, look beautiful for the Wildleaf prints.

Wildleaf prints are intended to be framed with the white border that comes with the print (as this white border is included in the final print size). If you are after a thicker white border, they can also be framed with extra matting! Sometimes pre-bought frames come with matting included, for example you can get an A2 frame from K-mart that has an opening for an A3 print, as the frame includes matting - this is a great way to jump up a size in framing if your print is only small. Of course Wildleaf prints also look beautiful framed without matting, it just depends on the look you are after.

How long until I get my print?

Every Wildleaf print is carefully printed to order, so please allow 2-3 weeks for delivery. Wildleaf prints come rolled in postal tubes. Shipping is free Australia wide.
